Mathis Shinnick has more than 40 years of leadership experience driving growth and innovation in international aerospace & defense, space technology, and deep-tech ventures. Mathis started his career as an investment banker and led teams in New York and London across multiple products, markets, and industries. He was Managing Director / Global Head of Aerospace & Defense for JP Morgan Chase and worked with prime contractors and top tier suppliers to provide strategic and financial leadership for clients' programs in satellite, launch, C4ISR, and defense platforms. Later, Mathis built technology, investment, and financial companies in the U.S., Latin America, Asia, and Europe, sourcing over $50B from public markets and private capital.  He established investment funds that collectively peaked at $18B in AUM. Mathis has been a start-up founder and C-level executive in a number of space technology and photonics ventures. 

Mathis holds a B.A. in Business from the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Business and an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He continues to advance initiatives in AI, quantum computing, and photonics.
